Welcome to Scouse Honey Co, a family business in the heart of Liverpool. Starting with a single hive in our back garden, we found demand for the honey our bees made so high that we have exploded and grown to have apiaries all over Liverpool. We take care to make sure that these sites let Scouse Bees have access to loads of different types of flowers all year round and can work their magic in your gardens and parks and bellies.
Our ethos is clear, we want to see Liverpool's green spaces blooming, thriving and buzzing with activity. We are dedicated to producing the best quality honey. We do this by focusing on bee health and minimum interference – we just let them get on with it! Whilst working with bees is boss, it is often unpredictable – as the inevitable stings will testify - but the stings are worth it as we aim to be part of the greater world wide effort to help save the honey bee from the various threats of disease and human activity. Scouse Honey is cold, uncapped and hand extracted. Basic filtering is carried out when the honey is collected and extracted from the comb, this means that we keep those amazing properties that make raw honey a magical food source and, thanks to our care and effort, you can taste the difference. The unsung heroes to the sustainability of the food chain, bees are the key to the pollination of crops producing much of the food that we all eat. |
